  1. INTRODUCTION

A Niche in the Gaming Market

Throughout history, humans have been playing games as tribes, teams or individuals, for entertainment, social bonding, and to pass on and sharpen essential life skills including logic, strategy and coordination.

Competitive sports (sophisticated games with defined rules) allow expert participants to achieve prominence, wealth and recognition in society. The first home computers owed much of their rapidly successful adoption by consumers to the variety of games they featured. Games consoles and hand-held devices (such as mobile phones and tablets) have helped online gaming take the world of multimedia entertainment by storm in recent years, outselling the music and film industries combined.

Revenue from the initial sale of a successful computer game is usually rapidly overtaken by players’ ‘in-game’ purchases of assets to boost their performance or status. To date, such assets have had no ongoing, transferable value to other players or traders. Now blockchain-based Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) allow a new generation of games to offer in-game assets with certifiable, intrinsic value for players to trade within the Metaverse economy.

You’ve no doubt heard of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) - they’re a revolutionary new asset class representing a unit of data stored on a blockchain, certifying a digital asset to be unique and non-interchangeable with any other. Some of them have sensationally sold for tens of millions of dollars…

While the concept of true digital ownership is still new, there is certainly a valid argument of potentially increasing the value of an authentic, non-replicable digital artwork with completely transparent ownership. But what if you could do something profitable and fun with NFTs besides just owning them?

RaceMe is the world's first decentralized blockchain-based Metarace engineering simulator game in which users compete for cash rewards as they develop their unique NFT DragRacing Machines (DRMs) with custom NFT components.
